PolyPads Four Nations

We were contacted a few weeks ago by Iain Heaton from UKPA, the UK Polocrosse Association, who after having purchased our PolyPads for Polocrosse competitions in the past, asked if we would be interested in sponsoring the Four Nations Cup.

Polocrosse, as the name suggests, is a mix between Polo, Lacrosse and Rugby - it's incredibly sociable and fuelled by adrenaline! The players take their sport seriously, often building their fitness outside of horse riding to give them their best chance of performing well. They play in matches called 'Chukkas', which last up to 8 minutes.

The Four Nations brings together riders from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in a series of matches over two days. The matches are divided into Minis, Juniors and Seniors, with prizes awarded to each age division and the overall winning nation. The players range from 9 to 23 years old, showcasing the best upcoming talent in Polocrosse.

Whilst England are the defending Overall and Junior champions, they face stiff competition from the other three nations. Every player and nation is in it to win it, and we’re sure they’ve all been practicing hard.

The Players will use a mixture of Classic and Polocrosse pads; whilst on ponies, many players still use a GP saddle instead of a larger stock saddle – so if you’d like to try polocrosse, but don’t have a stock saddle, don’t worry! It’s perfectly possible to use a GP.

If you’d like to watch the players in action, click here to see the exact location (near Chester). Entry is free and spectators are very welcome!
